Jacobo Tojeiro is a partner at Avante. Prior to joining Avante, Jacobo was a partner at the law firm Tojeiro & Asociados since 2007 and an associate lawyer in Actio XXI since 2000.

Throughout his years of professional practice Jacobo has focused on shipping law, transport and insurance, both in litigation (court proceedings) as well as giving legal advice required by companies involved in maritime business.

Likewise, he also provides advisory services to companies in the maritime sector, both regarding private law (commercial relationships) as well as public law (relationships with public institutions and authorities, fishing licenses, port concessions, licenses and authorisations, etc.). Jacobo is specialised in the transport insurance sector (maritime, road, air and train), where he provides his services to various national and international companies handling all kind of cargo claims and disputes under maritime contracts.

Throughtout his professional career, Jacobo has been acting for the main P&I Clubs in differents marine casualties along the galician coast (North West Spain) and giving support to shipowners on all the ports of North Spain area (pollutions, fines, preventive seizure, towage, ship arrest, etc.).
